Well I don't think they ever even aired this episode on TV. Maybe that's why. Maybe they couldn't show it cause' they realized that Brock's mother was SUPPOSED to be dead. Either that or they just forgot >>
Here's the deal: in the original Japanese version, Brock's mom ran away from home. However when 4kids dubbed it into English, they mistranslated the line and instead said that Brock's mother died. So when the Japanese writers decided to bring this episode up, 4kids was in a bit of a bind...and decided to just pretend the earlier goof never happened.

Okay, just so you guys know, the whole "Brocks mom is dead" isn't correct. The Japanese writers said she ran away from Brock just like his Dad (the rock selling guy). 4Kids, the failures who dubbed the episode thought it would be less dramatic if his mother just died rather than running away so they decided to go for it.
Honestly, they should stick to the original script OR get a new translator.
