actually i dont remember wich on but in a previous eps rite before he was about to fight eaither captain gynu or one of the others he threw the bad of senzu bean on the ground
There were no senzu beans left. goku got hurt on the ship and had to crawl to get one. he flipped the bag and only four came out. he ate one. got to namek, gave vegeta, krillen, and gohan one. and thats it. fyi, that dam bag always looks full with only 3 senzu beans in it

Goku did have some sensu beans left, but when Ginyu took his body I guess he threw them away not knowing what they were.
